From Darkness to Light
The timing of this pandemic is not lost on me. In the US, attention was peaking at the Spring Equinox, the moment when we experience a balance between light and darkness and begin to bring the light in. It is a time for awareness of birth and rebirth for ourselves..and the planet.
We are now in the time of Passover, in the Jewish tradition. A celebration of the movement from feeling enslaved, confined, oppressed, disenfranchised, and contracted to feeling connected, accepted, released, expanded, and free. From darkness to light.
And now Easter, again symbolically, a release from suffering, from the chains that bind us. Resurrection, Rebirth, Transformation.
The metaphors are palpable. We, and the earth that is here to support us, to remind us of our beauty and our light, have quite literally been shaken to our core. The earth and humanity are grieving so many losses . We are suffering from poisoning, abuse, hunger, addiction, poverty, anxiety, disenfranchisement, imprisonment, depression, fear ,violence. And at this time we are asked to go inside.
And we must go inside ourselves and look deeply at the illusion of separateness...at what's really important. We can't hug our financial investments but we can embrace those we love. We are now so aware of how much we all deserve and crave loving touch. We are being asked to look at our fears. What are they and are we holding them in our bodies? What are we afraid of? Death? Abandonment? Suffering alone?
We have the opportunity to look into ourselves and beyond ourselves. How can I heal? What am I feeling in my body? what can I learn? What does my heart have to tell me? and what can I do now to be a part of the 'greater good'?
In the 60's we chanted "Power to the People". For so long we have been living in a paradigm of power over the people..and over the planet. For too long. What we are now experiencing is a result of the earth and humanity being totally out of balance. ...and we are in the midst of a massive correction. I heard an interview with our next President (!), Joe Biden, who said that America needs to heal its soul. True and heartfelt, however, as Marianne Williamson responded, "Nothing short of a revolution of values - a shift in consciousness from me to we - will create a sustainable 21st century. No healing the soul of America without it."
We have lost our way. Let's use this time to find it. Let's change our ways, our minds, our addictive patterns, our chronic disconnect from one another...and from our souls. Let's listen and be present to one another. Let's honor the wisdom and guidance of our hearts. We are all one heartbeat. And let's all put the "kind" back in humankind, "no not just for some but for everyone," because "What the world needs now is love, sweet love"
With love, light, health and protection to you all. Beth
